It was early evening and beginning to get dark so the exterior
of the house didn't look so bad on first look other than that all the windows
had been smashed out.

Even going into the house, though there was plenty of obvious
damage, it was hard to believe that the damage was as much and as bad as it
turned out to be. You can see the kitchen was a big loss but the rest didn't
look so bad the first time.

The next day it began to be more obvious how complete the
destruction had been. Everything smelled and was covered with a fine coat of
soot. Some things had also changed color a bit.
